Dear Milestone Reunion Class Member:

This letter comes on behalf of the Henry McNeal Turner High School National Alumni Association Officers. You are celebrating a milestone Reunion from Henry McNeal Turner High School in 2025.  We want you to celebrate this occasion with us at our Twenty-Second Annual National Alumni Association Scholarship Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 9:00 am, at the Georgia International Convention Center. We will commemorate the Classes of:

70 Years – 1955              50 Years – 1975

65 Years – 1960              45 Years – 1980

60 Years – 1965              40 Years – 1985

55 Years – 1970              35 Years – 1990

Our 22nd Annual Scholarship Prayer Breakfast Souvenir Journal will acknowledge the appropriate Classes, Our Life Members (new, current, and deceased), Scroll of Remembrances, Greenlight Recipients (from classes in the 50’s, 70’s, and 90), and more! We will list Financial Participants from the above Reunion Classes in this Journal.

We encourage your class participation in our upcoming Scholarship Prayer Breakfast. We are asking that you:

  1. Pay your National Alumni Dues ($60.00 annually)

(Dues help with the day-to-day operations of the Alumni Association, including but not limited to printing, mailings, calling post, courtesies, the Prayer Breakfast Program, etc.)

  1. The 50th Reunion Class (1975) members are expected to be financial and march in the processional, each participant will receive a 50thReunion Medallion, Certificate of Participation and have individual picture taken which will be available for purchase along with the class group picture.

  1. Purchase a Prayer Breakfast Ticket ($40.00 per person)

(The ticket purchase helps with the cost of the meal presentation from Proof of the Pudding and other Prayer Breakfast expenses.)

  1. Place a Congratulatory and/or Memorial Ad in our 22nd Annual Souvenir Program Booklet. Refer to the enclosed Ad Form for detailed information. (These funds assist with the program printing cost.)

  1. You can share this momentous occasion with your family and close friends by purchasing a personal table or two. Your name will be displayed on your table(s). We will seat 10 people per table, the cost $400.00 per table.

  1. Green Light Recipients: We will also highlight outstanding Financial Alumni from classes in the 50’s, 70’s, and 90 who submit their one-page bio and picture to the Alumni Office by Saturday, January 18, 2025 for selection by a non-alumni committee. Those selected will be recognized at the breakfast and featured in our Souvenir Journal.

You can also contact your National Alumni Association Class Team Captain(s) from the enclosed list, note this person(s) could be different from your Class Reunion President, for more information and how to submit your funds for the aforementioned items as well as those mentioned later in this letter. We also meet on the third Saturday of the month @ 10:00 am (except for May, June, July, and August.) at:

Hunter Hill First Baptist Church

166 Edwards Street, NW

Atlanta, GA 30314

We are soliciting for Life Membership ($500.00) and/or Scroll of Remembrance Gifts ($500.00) for our National Alumni Association. These funds also assist with the items listed in number one above. Life Members and Scroll of Remembrance Names are listed annually in our Scholarship Prayer Breakfast Souvenir Journal along with a plaque presented at the Annual Scholarship Prayer Breakfast the year it is paid. The Deadline for both is February 1, 2025.

Finally, the financial success of the 2025 Annual Scholarship Prayer Breakfast and to achieve our goal of awarding scholarships to 22 qualifying seniors, who will apply for a 2025-2026 H. M. Turner High School National Alumni Scholarship, depends on the combined effort of each of us. We respectfully ask each Graduating Class to make an annual contribution to the Scholarship Fund of $1,500.00 or more. However, if your class cannot meet this amount, it is expected that each class will make a financial contribution to the scholarship fund. Your continued support is greatly appreciated. Your Class Team Captain(s) and/or Reunion President will share your class contribution goal and the plan to achieve it.

You do not want to miss the fellowship and reuniting with your former classmates, other Turner Alumni, former faculty & staff, family, and friends with opportunities to reflect on old memories and make some new ones, too. We look forward to seeing you at our Annual Scholarship Prayer Breakfast on March 8, 2025.

You are encouraged to share this letter with your classmates as soon as possible. Feel free to call me if you need clarity, have questions or concerns.
